The Four is the One

Farley Earle Granger is dead.  Please allow me to explain why that is so stunningly important in our hunt for bread crumbs along the trail of Synchronicity.

First, a little background.

In my last post I discussed how the number pattern 1-2-3 (which can also be expressed as A-B-C in alphabet format) has emerged in many recent world events and symbolizes a shift or transition out of Form and into Spirit.

Then Eleleth (author of the Kosmos Idikos blog) added a comment to that post with a link to the "Axiom of Maria", an Alchemical precept which states:

"One becomes two, two becomes three, and out of the third comes the one as the fourth."

Swiss psychiatrist Carl Jung used the axiom as a metaphor for the process of individuation. One is unconscious wholeness; two is the conflict of opposites; three points to a potential resolution; the third is the transcendent function, described as a "psychic function that arises from the tension between consciousness and the unconscious and supports their union"; and the one as the fourth is a transformed state of consciousness, relatively whole and at peace.Wikipedia

This insight helped me to understand how the One and the Four are the same.  The 1st (primordial) state and the 4th (enlightened) state are both states of wholeness.  The only difference is consciousness.

In the 1st state we are unconscious, meaning we do not know ourselves as separate from All That Is.

"Adam and Eve were both naked, and they felt no shame."— Genesis 2:25

As exemplified in the pic above, the serpent (Kundalini/7 Chakras culminating in the Head chakra) is the process of individuation that produces the idea of separation.  Which brings us to the 4th state where we consciously perceive ourselves in the illusory form of a separate, individualized entity.

"Then the eyes of both of them were opened, and they realized they were naked."Genesis 3:6

But the idea of separateness is only a negative thing when we forget the original state of wholeness from which we both emanated and are still a part of, simultaneously.

Thus, it becomes necessary to transcend ourselves (the Self being the Ego that is utterly convinced it is omniscient, omni-powerful, and alone) in order to recover and reintegrate the memory of wholeness—"...out of the third comes the one as the fourth."

Ego Death commences and Fear of Death ends.  A Few Shots to Shaman blog confirms that the number 42 represents our progression to non-fear of Death.

Ultimately, this may be the greatest embedded meaning in the synchronistically famous Jupiter symbol.

The "Jupiter Numbers" 4, 2, and 1 are symbolic of the progression from conscious states 1 to 2 to 3 to 4 (back to 1).  The 3rd state does not need to be included in the symbol because, as Jung wrote, it is understood to be a transitory and transcendent state.

Therefore, 1-2-3 is actually 1-2-3-4, or Four States of Consciousness (of which we seem to be in the 4th State now).  The 4th State also seems to be broken down into a series of Seven Cycles.

With this information in mind it became clear to me that the next few famous deaths would most likely be representative of the 5th, 6th, and 7th cycles, which can also be expressed as E-F-G.

On 3/23 we grieved the loss of a legendary "E"...Elizabeth Taylor.  Next, Geraldine Ferraro (GF) passed away on 3/26.  Then on 3/27 came the loss of actor Farley Earle Granger (FEG).

Perhaps this indicates that the first of the Seven Cycles has now been completed.

More sync confirmations appeared in an episode of House, M.D. [air date: 3/14] which bore an eerie resemblance to two of my previous posts (see Stab Me in the Heart and The Heartquake).

In Season 7, Episode 16, House and his team diagnose a champion Bullfighter.  The patient is played by Chad Faust (the same actor who was Kyle on the TV series The 4400...more on that sync in my next post).

CLICK HERE to watch House, M.D. S7 Ep 16 "Down the Chute"

Season 7, Episode 16 = 716.
716 can be expressed numerologically as 42 or 142  (since 7 x 6 = 42).

Spoiler Alert:  In the end House's team has to Explode the Bullfighter's Heart to save his life by Stabbing it with a needle.

House undergoes his own personal Ego Death experience in the show's background story.  He eventually transcends his fear by jumping off a hotel balcony.

But instead of dying he falls into a pool of water signifying Baptism, Rebirth, Transformation or Transcendence, Ego Death.  Others jump into the pool with him, symbolizing that he has reintegrated all parts of himself.

The Bullfighter's experiences throughout the show encapsulate the metaphor of Jung's Process of Individuation:

1st State (Unconscious Wholeness):  The Bullfighter is in perfect sync as he is riding the Bull (a symbol of Christ Consciousness). He rises and falls naturally and easily with it.

2nd State (Conflict of Opposites):  The Bullfighter loses his rhythm as he tries to dominate the Bull while the Bull bucks him. Eventually the Bullfighter falls off and the Bull gores him in the chest (the Heart area).

3rd State (Potential Resolution/Transcendence):  The team of doctors struggle to diagnose and treat the unknown condition that is killing the Bullfighter.

4th State (Conscious Wholeness):  The doctors must "explode" the Bullfighter's heart to save his life; they inform him that the procedure could kill him and that he will no longer be able to ride Bulls afterwards.  He accepts the news calmly saying, "I'll just have to find something else to love". Ego death commences and Fear of Death ends.

On a Personal Note:
At this point, my reality is forever breached.  I know for a certainty that something very important is happening and a major milestone has been crossed.  That having been said I'm honestly no longer sure whether I'm writing this blog so others can read it or if this is only My Higher Self writing to Me so that I can understand what the hell is transpiring.  I suspect maybe both.

For the record, I'm also not sure that I believe in conspiracy theories anymore.  Now I think this is all simply the language of the universe—Synchronicity relentlessly expressing itself, transmitting the same signal over and over again, hoping we will notice.

Hoping we will remember to forget ourselves...and finally wake up.

[IMPORTANT:  I feel it necessary to express that it is never my intent to demean the lives or deaths of any persons mentioned in this blog, but only to point out the existence of relevant events within the flow of Synchronicity.]

Stab Me in the Heart—A Valentine to Synchronicity

Just a short and sweet post in honor of Valentine's Day.  I tweeted earlier today that the Love of Synchronicity has stabbed me in the heart.

That reminded me of a short story I read back in high school called "Greenleaf" by Flannery O'Connor.

It's part of a collection which I was delighted to discover has the highly synchronistic title "Everything That Rises Must Converge".

It also bears this great Heart-Arrow sync wink of a cover image:

The story's main characters are two women named Mrs. May and Mrs. Greenleaf.

Mrs. May is a professed devout Christian but spends the entire story selfishly fighting to keep a bull off her private property.

[Here in the Sync world we know that the Bull is prevalent throughout ancient mythology and culture as a symbol for the Christ/Savior archetype (see "Death of a Raging Bull").]

Mrs. Greenleaf's spiritual beliefs, on the other hand, are more esoteric.  At one point, Mrs. May is disgusted to find her writhing on the ground in the woods, overcome with frothed religious ecstasy

"Oh Jesus, stab me in the heart!" Mrs. Greenleaf shrieked.  "Jesus stab me in the heart!" and she fell back flat in the dirt, a huge human mound, her legs and arms spread out as if she were trying to wrap them around the Earth.

Here through O'Connor's vivid imagery we can see that in every way, Mrs. Greenleaf's spirituality and even her eroticism is inexorably bound to the Earth.  She is one with it, and in that oneness she is redeemed.

I think Mrs. Greenleaf is an apt metaphor for my love affair with Synchronicity.  What once started out as a mere curiosity has now become a symbiotic relationship.

Now, I find myself moving through life differently with a heightened awareness that my every ripple is a necessary part of creating this wave of existence we call Life.

And like Mrs. Greenleaf, this new found knowledge of belonging is profoundly ecstatic to me.  Truly, literally, it is as if I'm wrapping myself around the Earth and moving in tandem with every other being on it.

At the end of O'Connor's short story the stubborn Mrs. May is pinned against a car by the bull and his horn pierces her heart.  But this is not an act of violence.

Instead, like the people's recent revolt in Egypt, it is an act of grace that tears open the Heart so that Joy and peace can flow in.

Synchronicity...such an exquisite dance.

Happy Valentine's Day.

Death of a Raging Bull and All Hail the Larry King

The late U.S. Ambassador Richard Holbrooke was known to many as the "Raging Bull".  His sudden death this week synchronistically aligns with the sacrificial Bull-slaying rituals of the ancient Mystery cults.

The Tauroctony scene (shown below) is the the central icon of the Mithraic Mystery cults.  It depicts Mithras killing a Bull with a short sword.  Other major identifying elements always present in the scene are a dog, a serpent, and a scorpion.

An analysis of the circumstances surrounding Holbrooke's death indicates that all the required elements for a Tauroctony scene were present.

Mithras' Sword - Frank Ruggiero has been appointed to replace the late Holbrooke. Ruggiero is is the Italian version of the Germanic name Roger meaning "renown for his sword".

The Dog and the Serpant - Ruggiero stated that both he and U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton were with Holbrooke at the time of his aortic dissection.  This identifies them as the Dog and the Serpent shown leaping toward the Bull's wounds in the Tauroctony scene.

The Scorpion - Hillary Clinton also plays a dual role in the scene. In the Tarot she resonates The High Priestess card.  The High Priestess reversed can indicate all the negative aspects of the astrological sign of Scorpio.  She is the vengeful Scorpion desmasculating the Bull.

This dynamic is reflected in the fact that Holbrooke was a frontrunner for his dream job of U.S. Secretary of State in 2008 until Clinton struck a deal with the Obama administration to appoint her to the position.

Synchromystically, Holbrooke's death can also be tied to the retirement of Larry King (born 11/19/1933), the long-time host of CNN talk show Larry King Live.

In the Roman Empire of the 2nd to 4th centuries, Taurobolium was a Bull-killing cult act performed by initiates of the Mysteries of Magna Mater.

The Bull was chased and overcome prior to being sacrificed to ensure the regeneration and purification of the Emperor and the Empire.

In 1994, Larry King infamously provided live TV coverage of the police "chasing" O.J. Simpson's white Bronco (NOTE: a Mechanical Bull is also known as a Bucking Bronco).

King's trademark suspenders and EYEglasses identify him as one of the two initiates kneeling before the High Priest/Emperor on The Hierophant tarot card.

In another nice sync, The Hierophant is also associated with occult initiations and is ruled by the astrological symbol Taurus, the Bull.  Crowley's version of the card (below, right) even features a Tauroctony motif.

Although The Hierophant follows The Emperor in the major arcane of the Tarot, together they represent one power structure working in tandem through politics (the religion of the Government).

In this sense, Larry King as one of the Hierophant's initiates represents the EYE of the public helping to reinforce the Emperor's politics on the world.

Larry King Live was broadcast all over the world on CNN International.

The show's significant impact on world views was even noted by Richard Holbrooke himself. He was quoted as telling King:

"I know that your program is watched carefully in Belgrade, probably the most watched program available to the leadership in Belgrade, and I hope they hear your suggestion and respond positively to it.”

If King is the archetypal EYE of public politics, then Holbrooke was, as an article in TIME called him, the "Archetype of American Diplomacy".

His dying mission was to end the war in Afghanistan and he was notoriously dogged in his lifelong pursuit of world peace.

Holbrooke's struggle links synchromystically to the 1980 movie classic Raging Bull starring Robert De Niro as failed boxing prizefighter Jake LaMotta.

Eleleth at the Kosmos Idikos blog confirms De Niro's connection to the Bull/Beast.  He writes:
Robert De Niro, as a personification of the Beast (the dark, masculine Ego), is lost and adrift in the world, desperately searching for the Beauty--that is, the feminine principle of Love--that ever eludes his grasp.

Like De Niro's character Jake LaMotta, Holbrooke is the failed prizefighter who dies with his hard fought efforts to bring the principle of Love/Peace to Afghanistan unfulfilled.

The name LaMotta also means "dweller by a fortified stronghold" which links Holbrooke to The Five of Cups in the Tarot and syncs with the Five (V) of The Hierophant card.

Afghanistan's President Hamid Karzai collaborated with Holbrooke to try to strike a peace accord.

Holbrooke and Afghan President Hamid Karzai

On 10/11/2010 Karzai was interviewed via satellite on Larry King Live.

In the interview King tows the "Emperor's" line by suggesting the Taliban is an "undefeatable force", Obama's drawdown of troops is tantamount to abandonment, and Karzai is a delusional manic depressive.

Richard Holbrooke died on 12/13/10.  Three days later on 12/16/10 Larry King retired at the age of 77, ending his show after 25 (2+5=7) years on air.

British journalist and TV personality Piers Morgan has been selected to replace King on CNN.

Piers Morgan was born Piers O'Meara on 3/30/1965 (3/3/11=33) and his name (Piers=pierce) is yet another sync wink to the sacrificial "piercing" or stabbing of the Bull.

We can also find a synchromystic link to him in historical fantasy author Katherine Kurtz's (K2) series of Deryni novels.

One of the fictional Eleven Kingdoms in the Deryni series is named Meara, and Kurtz's two most recent books are  In the King's Service (2003) and Childe Morgan (2006).

On January 1, 2011 (11/11), Piers Morgan will "fill the King's suspenders", thus sealing his place as the second initiate on The Hierophant tarot card---the Childe Morgan in the King's service.

Rutter wrote:
"We might even justifiably say that the taurobolium, rather than a rite effectual in itself was a symbol of paganism. It was a rite apparently forbidden by the Christian emperors and thus became a hallmark of the pagan nobility in their final struggle..."

Therefore, the Bull sacrifice can be seen as an act of defiance against God, a move by The Powers that Be born of desperation at seeing the Political, Religious, and Economic control structures they have so careful crafted now at risk of crumbling.

The Zoroastrian tradition speaks of the "destructive spirit" Ahriman (aka Angra Mainyu).

Ahriman slays the Primal Bull...but the battle goes on, with mankind caught in the middle, whose duty it remains to withstand the forces of evil through good thoughts, words and deeds.

The Raging Bull has died and the Larry King Live(s).  Who will prevail in this battle?
